The Norwegian Chess Federation (Norges Sjakkforbund) was established in 1914 and comprises 125 chess clubs and 4000 members across the country. In developing their new identity, our friends in Metric Design aimed to create a cohesive visual voice for Norwegian chess.
byHands illustrator Jon Arne Berg got the assignment of translating the identity into illustrations and the result is playful yet clever. The new identity was launched just in time for Magnus Calsen to take home his 5th World Championship title. Easy! ;)
